Hello, I’m Mariana (she/her). I believe that everyone deserves a compassionate, non-judgemental space to explore their inner world and make sense of life’s challenges. Therapy can offer a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself - especially during times of uncertainty, distress, or change.

As a trans woman, my own lived experience has shaped the way I work. It has deepened my empathy and awareness of the many ways people can feel unseen, misunderstood, or pressured to navigate the world alone. While I have particular insight into LGBTQIA+ experiences, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life.

I have supported teenagers and adults across a range of settings, including inpatient mental health services, schools, and charitable organisations. Working with people facing complex emotional and psychological experiences has informed my integrative approach, allowing me to adapt therapy to suit you — whether you’re looking for short-term support around a specific issue or longer-term, exploratory work.

I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a Certificate in Counselling Skills from Inter-Psyche Training Institute (affiliated with Kent and Medway NHS Trust). I am also a full member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I work in line with their ethical framework.

I currently offer both short-term and long-term counselling online via Google Meet. You can find more information about my therapeutic approach and fees on the How I Work and Sessions pages.

If you’re considering counselling and feel ready to take the next step, I invite you to get in touch to see whether we might be a good fit.

About

A humanistic approach focuses on you as a whole person. It offers a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your feelings, build self-understanding, and reconnect with your own inner strengths.

Psychodynamic therapy looks at how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be influencing your present thoughts, feelings, and relationships, helping bring deeper understanding and lasting change.

An existential approach explores questions of meaning, identity, freedom, and responsibility, supporting you to make sense of your experiences and find your own direction in life.

Cognitive approaches focus on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, helping you recognise unhelpful patterns and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges.
